Where we work in Fitzrovia
Our Fitzrovia round centres on Charlotte Street and the streets either side: Rathbone Place, Newman Street, Berners Street, Wells Street and Goodge Street. Fitzroy Square and the Mortimer Street blocks are regular ground, as is the Great Portland Street fringe where the consulting rooms begin.
Like Knightsbridge, Fitzrovia sits in two boroughs. The line runs roughly along Cleveland Street and Tottenham Court Road, with Westminster to the west and Camden to the east, and it changes which parking and waste rules apply to a building. We work both sides and price to whichever one your address falls in.
What makes Fitzrovia different to clean
Period buildings doing office work. Most of the stock is Georgian and Victorian townhouses converted floor by floor, which means original staircases, sash windows, and sometimes listed fabric in a building full of desks. Cleaning specifications here have to say plainly what is office surface and what is building fabric that nobody touches without instruction.
Two different tenant types on one street. A design studio wants the meeting rooms reset and the glass spotless by nine. A consulting room next door needs a clinical standard, work scheduled around patients, and a written statement of what we do and do not touch. We write separate specifications rather than one generic rota.
Front-of-house matters more than it should. Agencies pitch in their own reception, so entrance halls, glazed doors and meeting-room glass carry weight out of proportion to their floor area. Those sit on every visit here rather than on a rotation.
Access, parking and waste
Fitzrovia is inside the Congestion Charge zone, which runs along Marylebone Road and Euston Road immediately to the north. £18 a day since 2 January 2026, and inside the ULEZ. Both are absorbed into your monthly figure.
Parking depends on which borough the building sits in, which is the practical consequence of that boundary. Westminster runs Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 6:30pm, with no visitor permit scheme; Camden operates its own zones and hours. Our teams work to whichever applies.
Most buildings here have a single street door and no loading bay, so equipment comes in by hand and out the same way. We agree the route and the timing at survey and keep to it, because a cleaning team blocking a shared entrance at half past eight is a complaint waiting to happen.
